 WELCOME TO RTNC411.ORG

Did you know that there are processed neurotoxic chemicals being secretly added to almost every food you eat?

Did you know that these ingredients can cause serious reactions, including migraines, insomnia, hyperactivity, asthma, depression, chronic fatigue, and even ALS?

Did you know that the FDA allows the nation's food manufacturers to hide these chemicals under deceptive alias names?

 THE TRUTH ABOUT RTNCs

RTNC stands for Reaction-Triggering Neurotoxic Chemicals.

Most people don't know that RTNCs are hidden in many of the foods and beverages we consume every day.

  • RTNCs include many chemical additives with many different names, like Monosodium Glutamate, Maltodextrin, Aspartame, Carrageenan, and dozens of others.  They all contain "Processed Free Glutamic Acids" (PFGAs), which are derived from proteins through a chemical process.

  • Food manufacturers deceptively include RTNCs in most foods by using misleading alias names, such as Natural Flavors, Malted Barley Flour, Whey Protein Concentrate, Yeast Extract, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Dough Conditioners, Seasonings, Spices, and many others.

Most people don't know they are suffering from RTNCs.  RTNCs can cause many serious medical conditions.

  • RTNCs can cause serious reactions in people, including headaches, migraines, insomnia, coughing, chronic fatigue, aggression, hyperactivity, anxiety, and depression.

  • RTNCs have also been linked to asthma attacks, obesity, attention deficit disorder (ADD), tinnitus, restless leg syndrome (RLS), and neurodegenerative diseases such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Millions of people suffer adverse reactions from eating RTNCs.  RTNCs are a serious threat to the health of consumers everywhere, but most people don't even know about them.

While 1 out of 4 people are sensitive to RTNCs, only 1 out of 250 people are aware of them.

Yet RTNCs are secretly added as ingredients to almost all of the foods and beverages we eat every day.

 RTNC411.ORG

RTNC411.org is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about these hazardous ingredients.  It is our mission to educate consumers about deceptive ingredient labels so people can avoid RTNCs and live healthier, safer lives.  If you suffer from insomnia, asthma, migraines, headaches, fatigue, ADD, or other confounding health problems, please read on.

 WHAT ARE RTNCs?

RTNC stands for Reaction-Triggering Neurotoxic Chemicals, or RTNCs.  These hazardous chemical ingredients can be found in virtually all of the foods and beverages we consume every day.

RTNCs contain "Processed Free Glutamic Acids" (PFGAs), which are derived from proteins through a chemical process.  Once they enter your mouth, the glutamic acids in RTNCs stimulate and overexcite the nerve cells in your brain’s taste centers.  That's why they're also known as Excitotoxins.

RTNCs act as neurotransmitters, and they affect your nervous system just like caffeine and other drugs.  As you eat, these chemicals stimulate your senses, which makes your brain perceive that that the food you are tasting is more flavorful and "irresistible."   RTNCs are formulated to overload your nerve synapses with a false sensation of great taste.  This violent chemical attack destroys brain cells with every bite.

Manufacturers include these low-cost synthetic RTNC additives in their products so they don’t have to spend money on expensive "real" ingredients.  It's much cheaper for a company to substitute an RTNC for an organic, nutritious, real ingredient.  And, food companies add RTNCs because they make you want more of whatever you're eating.  Remember the old slogan, "Bet you can't eat just one?"  RTNCs cause your nerve cells to crave repeated stimulation, the true definition of "junk food junkie."

The most notorious RTNC is Monosodium Glutamate or MSG, but there are dozens of others, including Maltodextrin, Carrageenan, Whey Protein Concentrate, Aspartame, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, and many more.  In fact, food manufacturers deceptively include RTNCs using misleading names, such as Natural Flavors, Malted Barley Flour, Seasonings, Gelatin, Broth, Caseinate, Yeast Extract, and Spices.

Next time you’re grocery shopping, bring along our NEUROTOXIC INGREDIENT LIST to the store.  Look at the labels of the foods you eat. You will be ASTOUNDED to realize that you and your family unwittingly consume RTNCs every single day!

 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where did the name "R.T.N.C." come from ?

RTNC stands for Reaction-Triggering Neurotoxic Chemicals.  This descriptive name was established as a "catch all" category heading to include all of the various chemicals/additives/ingredients which cause the same serious reactions.  Because there are so many different and confusing names for these types of processed chemical ingredients, it was much easier to collect them all into one classification group which would be easier for consumers to identify:  RTNCs.

Whether it's listed as Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (HVP), Carrageenan, Malt Extract, Natural Flavorings, Excitotoxins, Guar Gum, or any other Processed Free Glutamic Acid (PFGA)...

...they are all classified as RTNCs.

Isn't "MSG" only found in Chinese food ?

Notorious Monosodium Glutamate ("MSG") is just one kind of RTNCs.  While it's true that many restaurants (including Chinese restaurants) add MSG to their recipes, these hazardous chemicals are also added to virtually all retail and packaged foods, not just Chinese food.

And even if the menu says "NO MSG," there are still other RTNCs in their dishes!

I avoid "MSG," isn't that good enough ?

No.  Monosodium Glutamate ("MSG") is just one kind of RTNCs.  RTNCs are listed under many different names, and can be found in virtually all retail and packaged foods.

You must eliminate ALL RTNCs from your diet or else you will continue suffering serious reactions.

If these chemicals are so dangerous, why
does the F.D.A. allow manufacturers to
include RTNCs in our foods ?

Unfortunately, the food industry is controlled by powerful corporations which have great political influence over the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other government regulatory agencies.  Obviously, it is in the best interest of the food manufacturers to defend their use of RTNCs, since these inexpensive chemicals make their products delicious and habit-forming.  As in the tobacco industry, the manufacturers who use RTNCs will stop at nothing to make a buck, regardless of the health costs.

Until consumers demand a radical change in food labeling rules and ingredient regulations, and until consumers stop buying these processed foods, RTNCs are here to stay.

If RTNCs are such a big problem, why don't more
people know about them already ?

The chemical additive business has been booming since the 1950's, but consumers are only now recognizing the link between RTNCs and many serious medical reactions.  Of course, people are often reluctant to change their habits, even when faced with evidence and proof; cigarettes, Saccharin, and trans fats are still around, despite decades of documented dangers.

And of course, the manufacturers of RTNCs spend millions of dollars defending their products and assuring consumers that they're safe to eat.  We know otherwise.
